Mary Kathleen Moore, 86, of Dunbar, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2009.

Kathleen was born February 24, 1923. She briefly worked for the phone company during and after WWII, but lived most of her life as a loving wife, mother, daughter and grandmother. She was married in and a lifelong member of the former Humphreys Memorial Methodist Church, now known as Dunbar United Methodist Church, where she was active in bible school, served as a communion steward and member of the United Methodist Women. Kathleen volunteered in the local community, in the schools, library and scouting programs. She was always ready to help others. Kathleen will be dearly be missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Violet and Cecil Hunt, her sister, Pauline Kelly, her brothers, Charles and Carl, and her youngest son, Michael Ray Moore.

Kathleen is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Ralph Moore, her son and daughter-in-law , Roger and Marsha, grandchildren, Kelly and Brian Moore, niece, Patty Tucker and nephews, Tom, Mike and Gary Hunt.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Dr. Okey B. Harless, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
