Mary G. Unrue, 80, of Dunbar, passed away Monday, August 10, 2009, at Oak Ridge Center.
She was a former employee of Fidelity Storage and Kanawha Glass Co. Mary was active for many years with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother and friend and was an avid WVU football and basketball fan.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Tapley and Fannie Garnes and by her sister, Ruby Gardner.
She is survived by her loving husband, Henry E. Unrue, Jr.; son, Terry W. Unrue and his wife, Connie of Raleigh, NC; daughter, Brenda J. Unrue and her lifemate, Steve Laster of South Charleston. Also surviving are granddaughter, Kira Danielle Lockwood and her husband, Andrew of Zebulon, NC; grandsons, Thomas Granger of Raleigh, NC, Michael Granger and his wife, Kasandra of Pittsboro, NC; great grandson, Michael Thomas Granger of Raleigh, NC and great granddaughter, Cavory Granger of Pittsboro, NC.; one niece, Deborah Gardner Ringwald of Charleston and one nephew, John Gardner of Dunbar.
A celebration of life service will be held at 7 p.m., Monday, August 17, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Ron McClung and Pastor Robert Otey officiating.
