Mary Elizabeth Albertson White, 82, of Dunbar died August 8, 2007.

Mary was born March 31, 1925 in Mount Jewett, Pennsylvania. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Clarksburg, WV in 1943. She was employed by C & P Telephone Company until she married William Hugh White on October 11, 1946. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church for 46 years. She was a loving mother, devoted wife and homemaker.

Preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, William Hugh White; by her brother Fred Albertson of Clarksburg, WV; by her sister Zuella Bess of Cincinnati, OH; and by her sister Catherine Sekula of Summersville, SC.

Surviving is her brother, Bill Albertson of Bridgeport, WV; her sister Margaret Jurick of Norfolk, VA; five children: Tom and wife Beth, of Dunbar, WV; Jack and Britey of South Charleston, WV; Bill and wife Roseanna of Alum Creek, WV; Linda Wilson of Simpsonville, SC; and Mary White of Dunbar, WV; eight grandchildren: Jeff White, Stephanie White, TJ White, Brian White and wife Jennifer, Mike White and wife Andie, Jill Fowler and husband Jason, Andrea Worley and husband Matt, and Emily Wilson; and three great-grandsons, Dillon White, Ethan White and Hudson White.

The family wishes to express appreciation to Amedisys (formerly WV Home Health Services) and to caregivers for many years of compassionate care and support.

A memorial Mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 13 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1504 Grosscup Ave., Dunbar, WV. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, West Virginia Division, PO Box 1509,Charleston, WV or Christ the King Catholic Church Improvement Fund.
