Matthew Frederick Cordie's Obituary
Matthew Frederick Cordie, 54, of Dunbar, was called home to be with the Lord August 11, 2016.
He was born September 20, 1961 in Dayton, OH to the late Robert Oliver Cordie and Rosemary Helen Gossage.
Matt worked for general services at the West Virginia State Capital for the last 10 years. He was a self-taught pianist and singer. Matt always put his family first. He enjoyed vacations and any opportunity to spend time with his family.
Matt is survived by his wife of 17 years, Kellan Cordie; daughter, Caitlin Cordie of Dunbar; twin brother, Michael Cordie of Englewood, OH and his wife, Vickie; sisters, Kathlenn Linville of Kettering, OH and Susan Spaulding of Centerville, OH and her husband, Robin; brother-in-law, George Rader and his wife, Michelle; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great- nephews.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Rev. Doyle Young officiating.
Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
