Obituary

Maxine Withrow, 82, of Charleston, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2007 at her home after an extended illness.

She was a homemaker and was a former cashier at the Parkway Super Market in St. Albans. Maxine was a member of the Dunbar United Methodist Church and was a former resident of St. Albans for 37 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Denver Withrow, her parents, Gird M. and Birdie Tolley, brothers, Oral, Otis, Ralph, Carl and Ova Tolley, sister, Edith White and by her daughter-in-law, Carol Withrow.

Surviving are her sons, Donald Withrow and his wife, Marit of St. Louis, Mo. and Ed Withrow and his wife, Marie of Falls Church, Va; daughter, Barbara Lobert and her husband, Mike of Charleston; brother, Gird M. Tolley, Jr., of New Smyrna Beach, Fla; sister, Gertrude Casto of Anderson, SC. Also surviving are grandchildren, Ian Withrow and his wife, Amanda, Alex, Hope and Michael Withrow and Sarah Lobert and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, December 23, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Dr. Okey B. Harless officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday, December 22, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
