Michael Duane Boggs, Sr., 57, of St. Albans, passed away at home on Dec. 4, 2006 after a short illness.
He was surrounded by his family and close friends. He was a loving and dedicated son, husband, father and grandfather. Michael was a construction worker and also had been employed by the WV Department of Highways. His favorite pastimes were camping and fishing, taking long drives and enjoying the outdoors.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Manning A. Boggs, Sr.
Mr. Boggs is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Margaret Ann Boggs; children, Michael Duane Boggs, Jr. and his wife, Pam and Priscilla Charlene Boggs; mother, Opal Marie Greathouse Boggs of St. Albans; brothers, Manning A. Boggs, Jr. and wife, Delise of Tampa, Fla., James A. Boggs and wife, Julie, Terry D. Boggs and partner Carol Bartlett of St. Albans, Jerry A. Boggs and wife, Barbara of Mt. Alto, WV and Gregory Boggs and wife, Mary of Ga; sisters, Diane H. Pendelton and husband, Donnie of Isleboro, MA and Susan B. Pendleton and husband, Harris of Belfast, MA; grandsons, William Michael Boggs, Ethan Allen Boggs and Daniel Lee Boggs. He also leaves behind his close friend of 45 years, Dennis Lee Holt and family of St. Albans.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 9, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Kenneth Knotts officiating. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at the Boggs Cemetery, Clay County.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 8, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
