Michael "Mike" Ferrell, 61, of Charleston departed this life on September 17, 2021 after a short illness.

He retired from WV-American Water Company after 35 years of service. Mike was a member of Dunbar First Baptist Church and loved anything outdoors.

Mike was a loving husband, father, and papaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Phyllis Ferrell.

Mike is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lynn Ferrell; daughters, Lauren Calderwood (Jeremy) and Kristen Ferrell; grandsons, Emerson and Henry Calderwood; sisters, Robin Godbey and Marsha Bridwell; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Ellie.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the ER Staff at Thomas Memorial Hospital, with a special thank you to Kelly Hughes for her support.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 23 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Sam Gasaway officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
