Michael Lee Fields, 73, of Charleston, passed away after a long illness on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.

He was born on January 2, 1951, to the late Estil and Violet Fields.

Michael was a long time truck driver for more than 40 years.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Fields; daughter, Michelle Meadows; son, Billy Fields; and brothers, Bobby, Billy, and David Fields.

Michael leaved behind to cherish his memories, daughter, Sarah Fields of Huntington; brothers, Joey Fields and wife Kay of Charleston, Paul Fields and wife Kim of Ona, Johnny Fields and wife Sheila of Welch, Timmy Fields and wife Renee of Charleston, Chris Fields of Charleston, Keith Fields of Charleston, Ray Fields and companion Rusty of Red House; sisters, Patty Harrison and husband Jerry of Charleston, Lora Tolley of St. Albans, Connie King of Chesapeake, Kathy Crihfield and husband Ben of Kenna, Sandra Pauley and husband Chuck of Charleston; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor David Carney officiating. Burial will follow in James V. Buford Cemetery, Dunbar.

Friends may visit two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
