Obituary

Michael S. "Bullie" Meadows, 45 of Charleston, departed peacefully on January 7, 2023 at CAMC General Hospital.

He fought hard through this pain everyday for the past 12 years, and his body was just simply tired from his dialysis and multiple heart and health issues.

Mike graduated from Capital High School where he was All State Lineman and All City Football. He was also a wrestler at Stonewall Jackson Jr. High. Mike was baptized at a young age at New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. James Mosley. In the recent past years, he re-dedicated his life back to the Lord under the hand of Rev. Shawn Woods.

Mike had a heart of gold, and if nothing else, he loved every member of his family. There was nothing he wouldn't do for anyone. He love working a few part time jobs he had at Leon Sullivan Men's Shelter, Dunbar McDonald's and Kanawha City Goodwill. He held a special place in his heart for children and football. To know him, you would know he was a true Cleveland Brows fan. One of the greatest highlights of his life was teaching the game to Little League Midget football players, where he got to coach the "D" Team for the Western Generals.

Mike is survived by both parents, father Quinton Meadows, Jr. and mother Gloria Jackson-Meadows; two sisters, Annette Tompkins-Belcher of St. Albans, and his twin Michelle Meadows, whom he called Sissy, of Charleston; two daughters, Keajah Meadows of NC, Mykayah Meadows of Illinois; granddaughter, Alani Grace of NC; niece, Shianne Coat (Jordan) of NC; two nephews, Jamie Tompkins of Parkersburg, Anthony Belcher of Charleston; Two great-nieces, Naomi Billups of NC, Malauna Tompkins of Parkersburg; two great-nephews, Zaiden Tompkins of Dunbar, Makai Tompkins of Parkersburg; a host of aunts, uncle cousins and friends. He had three special friends, Rev. Shawn Woods, Charles "Monty" Gray and Jeremie Stout.
