Mildred M. Brogan, 91, passed away peacefully after a short illness at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Bill Walker of South Charleston.
She was born Nov. 23, 1915 and was the daughter of Alfred and Lennie Means. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Robert, her son, Bobby, grandson, Rev. Scott Ostendorf and granddaughter, Angie Fawcett.
Leaving to cherish her memory are her six children: sons, Austin Brogan of Tenn, William "Bill" Brogan of NY; daughters, Jo Ann Ostendorf of Tenn, Patricia Walker of South Charleston and Florence Albert of Fla; 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
Her family will receive friends on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. The memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Franklin W. Goff and the Rev. Ray Ostendorf officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to HospiceCare, 1143 Dunbar Avenue, Dunbar, WV 25064 or to the Davis Creek Nazarene Church, 102 Nazarene Drive, South Charleston, WV 25309.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the Hospice staff, Michelle, Aniya and Beth.
