Obituary

Mildred Iona Parshall Castle, 71, passed away on December 7, 2014 at Crawford County Care Center in Saegertown, PA.

Mildred was born in Charleston, to the late John N. and Blondena C. Parshall.
She grew up in Charleston, and worked at Classic Shoe Store as a clerk for several years. She also worked as a clerk and retired from Kmart.

Mildred married Paul R Castle in 1985. They were happily married for 12 years.
She was a member of Northside Church of the Nazarene in Charleston, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 111 in Meadville PA, and 8/40 Mercer County Salon #318 in Sharon PA. She always enjoyed going to church, reading her Bible and missionary books, and she also enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mildred is also preceded in death by her sister, Devolda June Coleman; brother, John N. Parshall Jr; sister-in-law, Sharon Parshall, and a nephew.

Mildred is survived by her daughter, Iona (Richard) Hickman of Meadville, PA; stepchildren, Donna, Doug and Rick of WV; brother, James E. Parshall of Cleveland, OH; sister, Phyllis L. (James) Mullins; sister-in-law, Bonnie Parshall of Lawrenceville, GA; uncle, Loris (Jack) Hickman of St. Albans; several step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many cousins, also Iona's godson Dakota Ledsome of Cocoa, FL.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 13 at the Northside Church of the Nazarene with Rev John Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Memorial Park.

A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m and 6 to 8:30 p.m., Friday, December 12 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
