Mildred Settle, 91, a lifelong resident of Charleston, was called to be with the Lord on November 10, 2016.

Mildred was born September 16, 1925. She was married to the late Paul Settle. Mildred was a hairdresser for many years and later continued her education becoming a Nurses' Assistant.

Mildred was a proud member of McKinnon Presbyterian Church. Her strong work ethic was an inspiration to all who knew her and she was dearly loved by her family and friends.

Mildred is survived by her two children, Allan Settle of North Carolina and Karen Whitford of Texas. She is also survived by her four grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Mildred was cared for in her last years by her wonderful friend and neighbor, Kindra Pritt.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, at Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston.
