Myrland Lee Thomas, 79, of Sissonville passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2021.

He was born on November 1, 1942 to the late Ami Thomas and Phala Louise Fugate McClure.

He retired from Union Carbide after 30 years. Myrland also retired from The Clay Center and Edgewood Summit. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Myrland was preceded in death by his wife, Retha Thomas; sister, Marlin Adkins; and son, Bobby Hackney.

Myrland is survived by his children, Terri Thomas of IL, Sherri Thomas of St. Albans, and Jerry Thomas of Sissonville; grandchildren, Joseph DeLaFuentes of St. Albans, Rachel Prater of St. Albans, Michael DeLaFuentes of Cross Lanes, Jesse DeLaFuentes of St. Albans, Christopher Thomas of IL, Eudelia Wildman of Nitro, Kristina Moore, Ian Moore, Dustin Johns, Hunter Moffatt, Dylan Moore, and Kayla Moffatt; great grandchildren, Joseph Jr., Mackenzie, Brian Jr, Phalynn, Easton, Raelynn, Landin, Willow, Delia, Alaya, Sophia, Addisyn, Ishaiah, Brilynn, Ian II.

A service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations for services be made to Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
