Nancy Crichton Peterson, 80, of Charleston, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 25, 2009 at home.

Nancy was the daughter of William and Elsie Crichton of Greenbrier County, who both predeceased her. She was the wife of Robert J. "Pete" Peterson who died in 2003. Her brothers were William Crichton and Edward Crichton who are both deceased.

Nancy's career was keeping a warm and friendly home and cooking wonderful meals for everyone who came to visit. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Charleston. She attended Greenbrier Women's College and Salem College.

She was the mother of Elizabeth Crichton "Betsy" Peterson, Mary Ann Eusebio and her husband Daniel of Amherst, NH, and Robert Lewis "Robbie" Peterson of Huntington. She is also survived by her grandchildren Leighton E. and Matthew G. Eusebio of Amherst, NH; Niece Nancy C. Francis and husband Richard of Charleston, nephew, William Crichton and his wife Judith of Parkersburg and several grand nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 10:30 at the First Presbyterian Church, Charleston, with the Rev. Bill McCoy officiating.

The family will greet visitors in the Ruffner Room at the church after the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to: Hospice Care, 1606 Kanawha Boulevard, West, Charleston, WV 25312, or, First Presbyterian Church, 16 Broad Street, Charleston, WV 25301.
