Obituary

Naomi Marie Napier was born Naomi Anna Mae Minter to the union of Robert Tyrone, Sr. and Jessica Crickett Minter on August 6, 2000 in Detroit, Michigan.  She was affectionately called "Nay" or "Nay Nay" by those who knew her.

Naomi was educated in the Wayne County School System and graduated from Wayne County High School in 2018.  She continued her education as a Certified Medical Assistant and was looking forward to exploring the field of Recovery.  As a child, Naomi was sweet with a beautiful bright smile.  She loved being outdoors and some of her favorite past-times were swimming, fishing, mudding, and playing basketball. Naomi excelled at singing and acting.  She sang in the church your choir and was particularly proud to play the character of Rosa Parks both at school and at All Nations Revival Center where she participated in the Black History Month Celebration.  Just as much as Naomi was a tomboy, she was a glamour girl and loved taking pictures.  She enjoyed trying out new hairstyles, dressing up, and getting her nails done.  Naomi was always sweet, humble, and would help those she cared for in any way she could.  She was not a complainer, but always had a cheerful attitude and a warm hug for everyone she encountered.  Naomi saw beauty in everyone, and found wonder and joy in simple things.  She had a way of making everyone around her feel special.

Naomi gave her life to the Lord at All Nations Revival Center under the leadership of Bishop Frederick Hightower upon joining and attending in 2018.  She assisted in Children's Church, the youth choir, and the Helps Ministry.

In October of 2020, Naomi welcomed her beautiful daughter, and only child,  Niyah Anna Marie Minter with Isaiah Daniels.  Naomi was always excited to bring Niyah to church.  She loved dressing Niyah up in pretty things, sometimes even dressing alike.  Niyah was truly the highlight of Naomi's life and her biggest inspiration.  They share the same whimsical nature and bright smile.  Naomi moved to Kentucky in recent years where she was an employee of Kings Daughters Medical Center.  She re-dedicated her life to the Lord and was a candidate for baptism at Catlettsburg Harvest Church of God under the leadership of Lead Pastor Howard G. Wirzfeld.

On September 21, 2024, Naomi departed from this world to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Her life was not long, but for the brief time she was here, Naomi made a lasting and loving impact on all of her loved ones.  We will never forget all of our special moments with this beautiful angel.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Jessica,; brother Justin (Basey); along with her foster brothers, David and Golden, Jr. (Punk).

Naomi leaves to cherish her memory, her beautiful daughter and only child, Niyah; father, Robert Minter, Sr.,; siblings, Nathan, Noel, Nicole (Braxton), Sherry, Rob (Nicole), April, Carla, Jason, and Lena; nieces and nephews, Cairo, Jamel, Imani, Malyk, Steven, Cameron, Jayonna, Jamal, Kiana, Kyrell, Shardonnay, Jahson, Christian, Nevaeh, Sarah, Christopher and Jamari; great nieces and nephews, Mikai, Romeo, Myles, Londyn, Ari, and Amari.  Her foster parents, Kitty and Golden Napier; and foster siblings, Gladys and Ashley.
