Nathaniel Jackson "Jack" Gillispie, 81, of Dunbar, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Huntington.
He was a retired glass cutter with Libby-Owens-Ford Glass Co. and was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Jack was a former vice-chairman of the WV Chapter of the 82nd Airborne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordan S. and Dessie Opal Gillispie and by his brothers, Darrell and Frank Gillispie.
Surviving are his loving wife, Betty Jo Gillispie; daughters, Kathy Lynn Humphries of South Charleston and Karen Denise Myatt and her husband, Jack of St. Albans; grandchildren, Rachel Fisk, Lauren Robinson, Rebekah Nida and John Myatt and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Fairley McCormick officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
