Obituary

Nedra Jane Whited Goeller of Dunbar passed away in her sleep April 19, 2019 at the home of her daughter in Summit Point.

She was 94 years old and the daughter of the late George Doyle and Sybil Kelly Whited of Roane County.

Nedra graduated from Walton High School and moved to Charleston where she married a WWII army veteran, Charles William Goeller, in 1946. They lived in a wonderful neighborhood on Larchmont Drive in North Charleston. She will be remembered for her love of growing things and cooking for her family.

Charles known as Bill passed in 1986. She was preceded in death by sister Doilena and most sadly by grandson Alex Chandler of Atlanta Georgia.

Nedra is survived by daughters Ruth Chandler (Walker), Cindy Ketner (Bill), Gloria Phillips; son Gary Goeller; grandchildren Zeb Chandler, Caroline and Rachel Ketner, Jason, Matt and Tara Phillips; and 5 great-grandchildren. Nedra was the oldest of seven sisters and is survived by Elta Cloud, Kay Fye, Frances Harrison, Pat Whited and Norma Moses.

Our special thanks go to the Dunbar Mountain Mission, where she attended. We also wish to acknowledge Hospice of the Panhandle and the kind neighbors of Larchmont Drive and 9th Street Dunbar.
