Nell Byers, of Dunbar, went home to be with the Lord on May 12, 2016 surrounded by loved ones.

She was a Christian and attended the Dunbar Mountain Mission. Nell was a very loving wife and mother, who will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Nell was preceded in death by her parents, Elree and Lillie King; sisters, Gladys Welch, Virginia Jackson, Letha McCown and Irene Martin; brothers, Robert King, Wilfred King and Franklin King.

She is survived by her loving husband, Lewis Dean Byers; son, Kevin Byers of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., daughter, Diane Cole and husband, Greg, of Cross Lanes; granddaughters, Madison Cole and Jordan Cole; great-granddaughter, Penelope Calhoun; brothers, Charles King and Paul King and wife, Linda; sister, Dorothy Campbell; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Jim Phillips officiating. Entombment will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
