Neuell Lee "Newt" Haynes, 84, of Sissonville, died October 23, 2016 in Thomas Memorial Hospital.

Newt was a Christian and a member of Union Valley Gospel Tabernacle. He retired from Orders and Haynes Paving.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ami Haynes and Hermia Gertrude Berry Haynes; brothers, Buck, William Jr. and Bruce; sisters, Charlotte Pritt, Eunice Haynes and Annis Smithers.

Newt was survived by his wife of 62 years, Olive Rose "Bodie" Holbrook Haynes of Sissonville; daughters, Kathy Dillon (Steve) of Gautier, MS, Donna Davis (Kenny) and Lynn Harmon (Larry) both of Sissonville; sister, Paulette Evans (Tom); grandchildren, Stephanie Duncan (Casey) of Calera, AL, Amy Craft Bruce (Ivan) of Sissonville, Brian Dillon (Jennifer) of Midlothian, VA, Kippi Lee Harmon Southall (Dale) of Sissonville; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Roman Shaw, I.J. Bruce, Spencer Derrick, Conner Southall, Carter and Caroline Duncan, Abby and Elliott Sweeny, Joshua, Lindsey, Ellen, Caroline and Alex Bruce; great-great granddaughter, Ava Bias; and special friends and family members, Ray Floyde Pritt and wife, Karen.

The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff of Thomas Memorial Hospital for their excellent and compassionate care of our Daddy.

Services will be held at noon on Wednesday, October 26, at Union Valley Gospel Tabernacle, Tuppers Creek with Pastor Rob Legg officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
