Noel R. Anthony, 84, of South Charleston, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2017.

Noel was a graduate of Poca High School. He was a US Army Veteran and served in the West Virginia Air National Guard. He retired from Union Carbide, Institute Plant with 30 years of service. Noel was an avid tennis player and worked part time at the Tennis Indoor Center after his retirement. He enjoyed bowling, listening to Talkline with Hoppy Kercheval, he made the best homemade pizza and pinto beans.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Thelma Anthony; brothers, Glenn and Jim Anthony; nephew, Justin Anthony; sisters-in-law, Margaret Anthony, Linda Anthony and Ann Anthony.

Noel is survived by his son, Alan Anthony and girlfriend, Wendy Fisher; daughter, Melissa and son-in-law, Jim Jordan; grandsons, Seth Anthony Jordan and Bodie James Jordan; brothers, Ed Anthony, Mike and his wife Debbie Anthony; sister, Ireta Nease and her husband, Joe; sister-in-law, Diane Jividen; stepchildren, Kevin Brown, Kelley Estep; and many nieces and nephews.

Noel is also survived his longtime friend, "the sweetest girl in the world", Connie Stoddard; and her children, Julie Cremeans and Lisa Young.

It was Noel's wish to be cremated and have a private family service held at a later date. Inurnment will be in Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar.
