Norman Melvin Baber, 75, of Dunbar, passed away at Hubbard Hospice House on Wednesday, October 7, 2015.
He was a member of the Crooked Creek Church of God.
Norman was preceded in death by his father, John Melvin Baber; mother, Crystal R. Hooper, step-father, John W. Hooper, Jr; and first wife, Ruth Ann Baber.
He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa; daughter, Angela Gonzalez of Dayton, Oregon; brother, John Hooper (Susan) of Coopers Creek; sisters, Sharon Myland of Nitro, Junetta Skeen of Nitro; sister-in-law, Juanita "Tootles" of Charleston; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to all the nurses at Hubbard Hospice House and his in-home hospice nurses.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 9, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Mark Thaxton officiating. There will be a burial at Grandview Memorial Park at a later date.
