Ollie "Granny" Trent, 96, of Dunbar, WV, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, February 16, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her parents Missoura and Vergil Dehart, her brother Winston and sister Jane.
She was born on September 29, 1917 in Indian Valley. In her early years she enjoyed playing bid wiz. She loved relaxing in her lazy boy chair while working her word search puzzles. She enjoyed shopping at the thrift stores as well as collecting pictures of all her family members. Granny shared her passion of cooking and her special technique of making peach cobblers and spaghetti on to her granddaughters. She was a collector of beautiful things.
She was loved by everyone who knew her. A classic beauty and always well put together whether she was at home or out and about.
She is survived by her brother, Edward; children, Armelia Pannell of Institute, Jerline Moore of Institute, Nick King (Tess) of Atlanta, GA, and Mary Reva Walker, of Cleveland, OH; 22 grandchildren, 45 great children, 36 great- great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Service will be held at 1p.m., Thursday, February 20, at Ferguson Memorial Baptist Church with William Lipscomb officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service on Thursday.
Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
