Oral W. O'Dell, 89, of Cross Lanes, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 8, 2016.

He was born on December 28, 1926 at Mount Nebo, a son of the late William and Martha O'Dell.

Oral was a member of Community Chapel Church, where he served as a board member for many years and sang in the choir. He was a loving father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Clifford and Carl, and his sisters, Josie, Leora, Pearl and Esta.

Oral is survived by his wife Joyce Witt O'Dell, daughters and husbands, Karla and Tim Bowman of Euclid, Oh., and Karen and Jeff Minnich of St. Albans. He is also survived by grandchildren Samantha Burdette and her husband Caleb, Evan Minnich of St. Albans, Connor and Alex Bowman of Euclid, Oh., and his sweet great-granddaughter Adelynn Claire Burdette of Tornado, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Monday, July 11, 2016, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastors Mayford Witt and John Gorreal officiating. Burial will follow at Tyler Mountain Memorial Gardens.

Friends and family may call 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the West Virginia flood victims through the Red Cross, 113 Lakeview Drive, Charleston, WV, 25313.
