Obituary

"To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die"

Patricia "Patty" Ann Coleman, 58, of Dunbar, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, July 6, 2012, after a six month battle with brain cancer.

She was born on July 14, 1953, in Charleston. She was the beautiful daughter of the late James Benjamin Tucker and Evelyn Elizabeth Tucker.

Patty shared her life with her husband and best friend, Terry Coleman. They were married for 36 years, and raised two wonderful children together, Lesley and Eric. Lesley and Eric gave them three beautiful grandbabies to cherish and spoil; Creed, Reagan, and Xander. Patty was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed the simple things in life and her family was everything. She also was a dedicated high school math teacher for 31 years, retiring in 2009 from Capital High School to care for her new grandson at the time, Creed. She was a faithful member of Dunbar United Methodist Church and strong in her Christian faith.

Surviving are her loving husband and best friend, Terry Coleman; daughter, Lesley Waskey and husband Brandon of Dunbar; son, Eric Coleman and girlfriend Jessica Shreves of Dunbar; brothers, Harrell Tucker and wife Joyce of Charleston, Larry Tucker and wife Linda of Parkersburg, and Jimmy Tucker and wife Judy of Pembroke, MA. She also leaves behind three beautiful grandchildren who adored her; Creed, Reagan, and Xander.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 9, at Dunbar United Methodist Church, 1401 Myers Avenue, Dunbar, with the Rev. Dr. Okey Harless officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, July 8, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

The family would like to thank all friends and family especially Pastor Okey Harless, Pam Coleman James, Tara Tucker, and Bill and Karen Jean for all the hours spent helping her in her final days. Also, a special thanks to Dr. Jubelirer for care and guidance throughout her illness.
