Obituary

Patricia Ann Fredrick, 71, affectionately known as "Tuttie", of Charleston, WV, gained her wings on Saturday, January 18, 2025, due to complications from a chronic illness.

She was born on June 18, 1953, in St. Francis Hospital to the late Charles J. and Vieva Beck Fredricks.

Tuttie was a beloved sister, aunt, and friend.  She graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School then attended Morris Harvey College where she studied social work.  Tuttie worked at Shawnee Hills, and was a welder before her disability.

She was preceded in death by her parents, maternal, and paternal grandparents, along with her brothers, Johnathan "Johnny" Fredrick and Duane Fredrick.

Tuttie is survived by her sister, Twonna Fredrick-Williams (Stan); step-siblings, Wendell Johnson, Jeff Johnson (Joan), Douglas Johnson, Quinton Johnson, Perdita Johnson Caster, Yvette Johnson, Jocelyn Johnson, and Sunday Kimbel.  She also leaves behind her nephews, Stanley II (Chloe) and Tre' Alexander Williams; special friend, Eddie Burns; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The Williams/Fredricks/Johnson family would like to express their deepest thanks for the kindness, support, and sympathy shown during this incredibly difficult time.  Your thoughtful gestures have brought comfort and peace to our hearts.  The loss of our loved one has been overwhelming, but your presence has reminded us that we are not alone on this journey.  We truly appreciate your compassion and will forever be grateful for your love and support.

The family would like to give a special "thank you" to the CAMC Medical ICU for assisting with Tutti's transition.  Special thanks to the staff at Right-At-Home, especially her caregiver Catheria Swafford, Julie Schaul, and Dr. Luke Finley at FamilyCare for their care and support.

A candlelight service will be held on March 29, 2025, for Tuttie, Duane, and Johnny at Ferguson Memorial Baptist Church, 124 Marshall Avenue, Dunbar, WV, at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Rt Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Heyliger.

Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
