Patricia "Pat" Kay Harper, 74, of Dunbar, passed away on September 19, 2021 after a long illness.

Pat was a mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She retired from the Charleston Gazette after 34 years of employment. Pat attended church at Roxalana Gospel Tabernacle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Daisy Haddox; siblings, Betty, Carolyn, Joanne, Gladys, Bob, Bill, Frank, Jim, and Don.

Pat is survived by her husband, Roger Harper; children, Missy Buckley and Scott Norman (Terri); grandchildren, Nikkie, Cari, Hunter, Taylor, and Kennedy; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Nancy Fields and Juanita Cagle.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 22, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Rev. Tom Price officiating. Burial will follow in Elk Hills Memorial Gardens, Charleston.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
