Patricia Ann Lyon-Pruden, 70, went home to be with the Lord on January 1, 2016, at her home in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 24, 1945, in Charleston to the late Arthur and Mildred Egnor.

She retired as a teacher from New Smyrna High School. She was the director at what was formerly known as Kanawha Home for Children in Dunbar during the 90's. Patricia was a graduate of South Charleston High School and West Virginia State College.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Art Egnor.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 21 years, Daniel Pruden; daughter, Susie Lyon- Jarrell and husband Bob of St. Albans; son, Fred Lyon of St. Albans; step-daughter,Danielle Shomo and husband Preston of Charleston; grandchildren, James Frye, Lela Shomo; brother, Timmy Egnor and wife Becky of Palm Coast, Fl; nieces, Erin Ann and Erika Egnor; nephew, Ian Egnor.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Jaime Wright officiating.

Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral home, Dunbar.
