Patricia Elizabeth Saidi, 69, of Charleston WV, went home to be with the Lord on August 14, 2026, passing away peacefully at CAMC Memorial Hospital.
Patricia was born on July 20, 1957, in Charleston, the daughter of James W. Coiner and Joyce A. Coiner (Turley). She was a graduate of Herbert Hoover High School.
Known to many simply as Patty, she was a familiar and well-loved part of the Kanawha Valley community. For more than 30 years she bred and groomed dogs through her business, Patty’s Precious Poodles. Her love for animals, especially her beloved poodles, was a defining part of her life, and she was known for her caring nature, warm personality, and ability to strike up a conversation with just about anyone.
Patty’s greatest joy, however, was her family. She married her husband and best friend. Manoochehr Saidi, on September 13, 1981. The two shared nearly 45 years of marriage and countless memories together, including many Saturdays spent cheering on the West Virginia Mountaineers.
She especially treasured time with her children and grandchildren. The holidays brought her particular joy, and a few things made Patty happier than shopping for Christmas presents and finding ways to spoil her grandchildren. Those closest to her knew her as talkative, caring and deeply devoted to the people she loved. To her husband, she was simply an angel.
Patty was preceded in death by her father, James W. Coiner; her brother, James Michael “Mike” Coiner; and her sister, Jacqueline “Jackie” Rhodes.
She is survived by her mother, Joyce A. Coiner of Charleston; her husband, Manoochehr Saidi of Charleston; her son Eric Saidi and his wife, Emily, of Nitro; and their children, Misha, Jacob M., Rodney, Jasmine, Noel, Jaxon, Wyatt, Jacob E., Audrey and Shelby; and her son, Matthew Saidi and his wife, Brooke, of Charleston; and their children, Bria and Maia. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.
A funeral service will be held at 1p.m. on Saturday, August 22, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society at American Cancer Society.
