Patrick Arthur
O'Meara
July 2, 1959 – April 4, 2021
Patrick Arthur O'Meara, 61, of Elizabeth, went home to rest pain free on April 4, 2021.
He was born on July 2, 1959 to Lorita Robertson O'Meara Campbell Bailey and the late Thomas Edward O'Meara, Sr.
Pat, as most people knew him, went to Dunbar High School. His fun-loving spirit could always get even the toughest of rooms to break out with laughter. He enjoyed traveling and fishing. Pat loved attending WVU football and basketball games, but he was just as happy to stay home and watch them with his sons. He was a very giving man, often going without to help someone in need. One thing Pat loved to do to put his mind at ease and relax was to turn on the music that he loved beyond words.
He lost a lung at the age of 19 and was disable for most of his life. Pat never let that stop him from getting married, having children and making sure his family was provided for. He had many jobs in his life to do just that. Pat managed Sun Harbor Marina, detailed high end cars and boats at the Vette Shop, and delivered cars for Before Auto. He also owned Sandy's Lawn Care and delivered luggage all across the U.S. from Yeager Airport.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his step-mother, Norma O'Meara of Dunbar.
In addition to his mother, Pat is survived by his children, Richard Lee Roy of Elizabeth, Andrew Thomas O'Meara of Dunbar, and Mackenzie Grace O'Meara of Dunbar; siblings, Thomas Edward O'Meara, Jr. of Ohio, Michael O'Meara of North Carolina, Tim Fay of Alabama, Donna Thompson of Arizona, and Denise Fay of Arizona; ex-wife, but soulmate, Sandra Roy of Elizabeth; and his son's three dogs, which he considered his grandchildren, Aidan, Quintus "Quin Boy", and Valeria "Vali".
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
Friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
