Patrick Nathaniel
Whitestone
May 27, 1971 – June 4, 2025
Patrick Nathaniel Whitestone, 54, of Rand, West Virginia, gained his wings and went home to be with the Lord and his beloved mother on June 4, 2025, due to complications after a brain biopsy.
Patrick was born the youngest of four boys on May 27, 1971, in Orrville, Ohio to Frank Whitestone and the late Barbara Jean (Hairston) Whitestone.
Patrick attended Rand Elementary, DuPont Jr. High, and ran track and played in the band at DuPont High School, where he graduated in 1990. He worked for several restaurants, Clearion, and JCPenney before he found his work home at CAMC Memorial Hospital. Patrick worked as a cook for 19 years before he went out on disability. To know Patrick was to love him. He was good for coming up with his own personal nicknames for his friends and family. He loved to hang out, always wore a smile, and his laughter would brighten up any day. In his spare time, he could be found at a car wash shining up his ride, gilling out, fishing, shooting pool, pitching horseshoes, slammin' dominoes, playing card games or the family board game Qwirkle. His favorite football teams were the Detroit Lions and Ohio State University.
He was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church, under the direction of his mother, the late Pastor Barbara J. Whitestone. Patrick started playing the drums at a young age and that continued into his adult years where he showed his praise by playing the drums at Faith Tabernacle. That love continued at Faith Cathedral of Praise under the direction of Bishop Gordon Ford, where Pat last attended.
Patrick was preceded in death by his mother, Pastor Barbara Jean Whitestone.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 18 years, Danyelle Mebane Whitestone of Rand, WV; three daughters, Kali Bush of Charleston, WV, Bianka Henry and her children, Amirah, Alarah, and Amari of Charleston, WV, Dakoda Whitestone of Anstead, WV; two sons, X'zayveon and Micah Whitestone of Rand, WV; three brothers, Keith Hairston (Connie) of Rand, WV, Lorenzo Whitestone of Atlanta, GA, Frank Whitestone (Pam) of DuPont City, WV; one sister, Tara Whitestone of Atlanta, GA; along with five nieces, a nephew, and a host of cousins and friends.
Thank you to CAMC Family Medicine, for all the care over the last eight years. Special thanks to the GSICU team, Judy, Maddie, and Erin, at General Division that took care of Pat.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Levi First Missionary Baptist Church in Rand, WV with burial to follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar, WV.
Family will welcome visitors one hour prior to the service at the church.
Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
