Patsy Lynn Tenpenny, 74, of Scott Depot, West Virginia passed away peacefully and comfortably at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, West Virginia, on April 5, 2025, at 11:35 a.m., after a long battle with dementia.

Born on March 7, 1951, in Charleston, West Virginia, Patsy graduated from West Virginia State University and spent around 20 years as a Legal Aid.

Patsy loved drinking wine and hanging out on the beach. She loved her dogs. She got to travel the world with her family, spending most of her time in Sydney, Australia, where her mother Rita was from.

She was preceded in death by her son Justin Tenpenny; her father Roy McCutcheon; her mother Rita McCutcheon; her sister Janene Martin; along with her brother, Greg McCutcheon.

She is survived by her daughter, Lindsey Tenpenny; her grandson and favorite human, Shelton Tenpenny Haddix; her niece Karri Kennedy (and family); her nephew Jeff Martin (and family). Thank you for all the love and support given during Patsy's illness and transition.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
