Patty Sue Stone, 86, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 27, 2022.

She was born on June 24, 1936, in Red House.

Patty was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Charleston. She retired from West Virginia Board of Education where she worked in the accounting department. She enjoyed yoga, reading and loved her animals. She loved spending time outside swinging in her porch swing, gardening and taking care of her flowers.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Durwood Stone; parents, Samuel and Rosa Rutan Harmon; siblings, Lee Harmon, James Davis, Margaret McDaniel and Gene Harmon.

Patty is survived by sons, David Stone (Vickie) of Charleston, Darryl Stone of Bowling Green, OH; daughter, Diane Jennings (Albert Barker Jr.) of Charleston; siblings, Donna Eskew of Godfrey, IL, Doris Nelson (Calvin) of Pinnacle, NC, Charlotte Gritt (Frank), of Poca, David Harmon (Karen) of Winfield, and Norma Dougherty (Terry) of Dunbar.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Don Biram officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
