She was born on January 15, 1953 and was the daughter of Anne Marie and James E. "Bud" Case.
Patty was a 1970 graduate of South Charleston High School and attended Marshall University. During her working life, she was employed in the Radiology Department at CAMC Memorial Division for twenty-years and also worked with Neurological Associates.
Patty was married to her loving husband Julian R. "Jerry" Taylor Jr. for 34 years, and the light of her life was her beautiful daughter Erica Lynn Taylor. She loved and supported her family in all their endeavors and always placed the needs of others above her own.
Patty had struggled courageously with heart problems since 1999 and was awaiting a heart transplant at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh before her passing. She never complained about her condition and was always positive in helping others any way she could.
Patty is survived by her husband Jerry Taylor of South Charleston, daughter Erica Lynn Taylor of Charlotte, NC, father James E. Case of Sweetbrier, brothers Jim Case and his wife Frances of Huntington, Terry L. Case and his wife DeeDee of Jacksonville, FL. She was preceded in death by her loving mother Anne Marie Case. Patty was very close to her sisters-in-law and their spouses Shirley Young, Donna & Paul Arbogast, Nancy & Scott Cyrus, and Terry & Jim Miller. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, September 10, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar,.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 9, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
