Obituary

Paul Edward Flowers, born on September 14, 1954, passed away at the age of 70 on February 7, 2025, in Cross Lanes.

He leaves behind a legacy of joy and curiosity, marked by his deep love for astronomy music, and literature.

Paul obtained his GED and spent his career with Security America, where he was known for reliability and dedication.  His personal faith was important to him, and he worshipped from home.  He was baptized by Pastor Tom Wise of South Charleston Church of God on October 1, 2024.  An avid reader and singer, Paul had an eclectic taste in music, particularly the oldies, and was fascinated by the Guinness Book of World Records.  His passion for astronomy led him to spend many nights stargazing and discussing the mysteries of the universe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Mary Flowers; and his siblings, David, Charles, Helen, and Janet.

Paul is survived by his devoted partner of 43 years, Anna Rogers; his sons, Johnny Rogers (Carla) and Bobby Rogers (Connie); his sister, Christine Moore (Dallas); grandchildren, Adrian (Jana), Nathan (Rebekah), Maryssa, Alexis (Zach), Adriana (Brandon), and Bobby Jr. (Katie); and great-grandchildren, Zander, Emelia, Layla, and Greyson.  His life was enriched by many nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends.

A service to honor Paul's life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Park.

His family invites all who knew him to join in celebrating his remarkable life.

Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
