Paul Howard Vandergriff

Paul Howard Vandergriff, 81, of Dunbar was called to his Heavenly Home, Monday, November 2, 2026 after a long battle with multiple heart issues.

Paul was born November 17, 1944 to the late Brady and Madeline Vandergirff. Paul Graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School and was a retired brickmason. He was a member of Genesis Fellowship Church in South Charleston.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Henry, Frank and John; sisters, Eva and Mary; and sister-in-law, Karen Perry.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Becky Perry Vandergriff; son, Mike (Joyce) of Shrewsbury, daughter, Tamra Black (Jason) of Huntington; grandsons, Daylon Vandergriff of Charleston and Christian Black of Huntington; brother-in-law, Howard Perry of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and a host of friends and family.

A celebration of Paul’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2026 at Genesis Fellowship Church in South Charleston, WV.

Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, Paul had requested donations made to Genesis Fellowship, 4032 MacCorkle Ave., SW South Charleston WV, 25309.
