Obituary

Pauline Fields, 90, of North East, Maryland, formerly of South Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 1, 2008 after a short illness.

She was born in Clendenin, WV, on August 14, 1917. Miss Fields spent her career as a nanny in Charleston. She was a member of the Southwest Church of God and loved her church and church family. Before moving to Maryland in 2002, her home was at Parkland Terrace, where she loved caring for her neighbors and volunteering. She loved spending her days with family and doing word searches.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Margaret Oiler Fields; sisters, Margaret Fields and Helen McKinney; brothers, Charles Fields, James Fields and Eugene Fields.

Surviving are her sister, with whom she lived, Mary Lou McKinney of North East, MD; brothers, Donald Fields, and John Fields of Charleston, Joseph Fields of Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters, Betty Walstrum of Vacaville, CA and Barbara Morrow of Clover, SC. She is also survived by 16 nieces, 11 nephews and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 5, at the Southwest Church of God with the Rev. Robert Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.

Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Southwest Church of God, 5007 Ohio Avenue, South Charleston, WV 25309.
