Pauline Robson Wilkerson, 88, of Dunbar died March 21 at Hubbard Hospice House after a long illness.

Pauline was born July 19, 1925, daughter of the late Virginia and Houghton Robson. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John Wilkerson and her older sister, Virginia Louise Robson.

She is survived by her twin brother, Houghton Abbot Robson of Venice Fla and younger sister, Betty Robson Mahan of Rock Hill, SC; children, Dr. Jennifer Britton and husband John of Charleston, Paula Legge and husband Stephen of Alum Creek, Teresa Adams and husband Tom of Summerville, SC, Stephen Wilkerson and wife Dr. Myra Wilkerson of Danville, PA; three grandchildren, Dr. Justin Legge, Andrea Legge Honaker, and Jessica Legge Borders; one great grandchild, Kelsey Elizabeth Legge; many beloved nieces and nephews who called her "Aunt Polly".

Pauline graduated from Stonewall Jackson in the class of 1943 and attended the Charleston School of Commerce. After marriage, she became a homemaker and an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Dunbar, where she served as an Elder and Deacon, sang in the choir, served on many committees, and was Moderator of the Presbyterian woman at that church for over twenty years. She was most proud when she was awarded an Honorary Life Membership in the Presbyterian Church Women.

She loved to sew for her children and grandchildren, grow flowers and work in her yard, write cards and letters to family and friends, and "lend a helping hand" whenever and wherever she could

A service to celebrate the life of Pauline will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 24 at the First Presbyterian Church of Dunbar with the Rev. Dr. Patricia Jarvis officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 23 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to First Presbyterian Church of Dunbar, 1414 Myers Ave., Dunbar, WV 25064.
