Obituary

Pearl Bowles, 74, of Charleston, was born at sunrise on Saturday, February 24, 1934 and passed away at sunset on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at her home, surrounded by her family and friends.

She was a retired receptionist for the West Side branch of BB&T and was a member of the Dunbar Church of the Nazarene. Pearl was a native of Monterey, Va. and was the last surviving member of the Glen and Myrtle Lowry family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Myrtle Lowry, her six brothers, Clark, Jack, Paul, Carl, Vernon and Clyde Lowry and by her two sisters, Ruby Hevener and Annabelle Lowry.

Surviving are her loving husband, Ralph T. Bowles; son, John P. Fulks, Jr. of Dunbar; daughter, Sheri L. Fulks of Charleston; grandchildren, Collin Hoylman of Charleston and Megan Fulks of Lacey, WA; two step-sons, Danny T. and Bruce M. Bowles of Sissonville. She is also survived by four step-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 2, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Philip Bowles officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 1, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
