Pearl Bailes Smith, 98, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 27, 2008. She passed away at Hubbard Hospice House after a long illness.
Pearl was born June 11, 1910 in Nicholas County, the daughter of the late Laura and John Bailes. She was also preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years, Hasco D. Smith and nine brothers and sisters. She was formerly employed by the Fletcher Enamel Company and Riley's Dept. Store in Dunbar. Pearl was a member of the Maranatha Fellowship and supported many ministries during her life.
She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Michael Boblett officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
Friends and family may show their respects an hour before the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to the Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Kennawa Drive, Charleston, WV 25311.
