Peggy Ann Hall Burk of Charleston, WV, died on Saturday, February 28, 2026, one month shy of her 90th birthday, at CAMC General after a short illness.

She was born on March 28, 1936, in Dunbar, WV to the late Austin and Thelma Smith Hall.  Peggy was a 1954 graduate of Dunbar High School.

Peggy retired from Rite Aid in 2019 at the age of 83.  She was a pharmacy tech and loved her job.  Peggy liked the people she worked with and helping the customers.

She was a member of the Pilot Club of Charleston where she made good friends that she would travel with to various musical plays.  Peggy was current Commissioner and past Vice Chair of the board for the Dunbar Housing Authority.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Harold M. Burk; her daughter, Debra Burk Kiser; and her grandsons, Zachary and Noah Burk.

She is survived by her son, Harold "Marty" Burk (Melissa); her daughter, Cathy Burk Widdecombe (Greg); and her grandson, Jonathan Kiser (Emily).

The family would like to express their gratitude to CAMC nurses and doctors for the care she received in her final days.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Family will welcome visitors two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
