Peggy Louise Wolfe, 86, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2023.

Peggy was born to the late Opal and Ocie Wallen on June 17, 1937 in Prenter, WV. She graduated Sherman High School and went on to become a well-loved beautician for many years in Dunbar.

Peggy married John Harold Wolfe, also from Dunbar in 1970.
In addition to being a dedicated wife, Peggy also loved volunteering with GFWC and Dunbar Women's Club. She also enjoyed sharing her love of art, crafts, and recipes with many over the years. Peggy was a loyal servant to God and a lifelong member of Dunbar United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 23 years, J. Harold Wolfe; her sisters, Joann Willis and Betty Ruth McNeely; and nephew, David Lee Wallen.

Peggy is survived by her three step-children, Caroline Eggleton (Robert) of Kanawha City, John H. Wolfe (Nancy) of Cross Lanes, and Angela Fewell of Winfield. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, step- grandchildren, and step-great grandchildren who loved her dearly.

We would like to thank the wonderful nurses from Hospice, the workers and nurses at Magnolia Assisted Living, and a special thanks to her cousins, Phyllis Cook and Kay Wallen, who helped to care for her.

There will be a private family service Thursday at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans, WV.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 23rd at Dunbar United Methodist Church, 1401 Myers Avenue, Dunbar, WV. All are welcome to attend and share their memories of
Peggy.
