Penny Barnett, 57, of Fayetteville, formerly of Kanawha City, gained her angel wings on April 8, 2023 after a long illness.

Penny was born on March 16, 1966,. She was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School in 1984. She attended Refuge Gospel Tabernacle and enjoyed spending time with her family. Penny enjoyed arts and crafts and loved the Lord with all her heart and wanted everyone to hear about Jesus.

Waiting to meet her at Heaven's gates was the love of her life, her husband Douglas Barnett; also waiting were her parents, Ernest and Ruth Withrow Sr.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Anthony Barnett and wife Elizabeth; grandchildren, Levi and McKenzie, all of St.. Albans; sister, Tammy

Stanley and husband Michael of Fayetteville; brother, Ernest Withrow Jr., of Middletown, OH; her fur baby, "Snowball"; and a host of family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, at the Refuge Gospel Tabernacle, 102 Bunche Ave, Dunbar, with Pastor Kevin Witcher, Pastor Zack Lightener and Reverend Jerrid Ellis officiating.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the church.
