Philip Chrystol Henderson, 81, of Dunbar, WV departed this life on December 27, 2025.

He was a life long resident of Dunbar, and a frequent visitor of the Dunbar Library.  Philip was an avid reader, a fan of Science Fiction movies, and loved cats and kittens. Philip's favorite pastime and passion was playing the lottery.  He was a man of faith whose favorite quote was, "Ask God". Philip was a kind, caring, true, and loyal friend.  He was loved dearly by his friend, Neva Spriggs, and was a special buddy to her grandson, Braxton McClure.

Philip was preceded in death by his mother, Audrey Cecilia Hurst Henderson; step-mother, Millicent "Millie" Henderson; and father, Wallace Chrystol Henderson.

Those left to cherish his memory are, Neva Spriggs and Braxton McClure; caregivers, Tommy and Chrystal from Genesis Care Center; along with his buddies at Ben Franklin Career Center, Chris, Norman, Tim, and Daniel.

Philip was a caring and kind man who chose to see the best in everyone.  He lived his life with great humility extending grace to all.  Philip will be greatly missed and most especially by his friend, Neva.
