Obituary

Philip Wayne "Doctor Butch" Mallett died of natural causes at his Cross Lanes, WV home on May 6, 2007.

He enjoyed the competitions of local sports and the beautiful land, water and air about him. The old man is best remembered for the care and assistance he provided others.

He saved oceanic drowning victims as a water-safety instructor, assisted victims of floods, earthquakes, tornados, black wall winds and burned homes. He spent years caring for the totally incapacitated and also helped children and elders as a child protective service specialist and gerontologist.

He learned from Carpenters and Joiners Apprenticeship School-journeyman, Vail Estimatics School, State Farm Insurance Schools – senior representative, Federal Aviation Administration-Commercial Pilots Rating, West Virginia State College-BA, West Virginia State University-BS and University of South Florida-Phd.

Surviving is the musician happy surfing son, Jarrett Wayne Mallett in Hawaii, the thoughtful artistic son, James Daniel Mallett, a physician in Charleston, WV, beautiful daughter "sare bear" Sarah Renee Mallett in South Carolina and Beavis, the old man's 36 year old African Grey Parrot.

There will be no visitation or service.
