Phurah Hoy Peek, Jr., 83, of North Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 14, 2018, after a long illness.

He was born on May 14, 1935, in Nicholas County, to the late Phurah Peek Sr., and Olive Peek.

In addition to his parents Phurah was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Short; brothers, Delbert and Donald Peek.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Dottie Peek; sons, James, Jack and Holbert; daughters, Cheryl and Dixie; granddaughters, Lillie, Amanda, Amy, and Tammy; grandsons, Randy, Jason, and Alex; and many great-grandchildren; brothers, John, Chuck, and George; sisters, Virginia, Libby and Doris.

He will be cremated and a memorial service will be held later this summer.

The family would like to thank Dr. Atkins at CAMC and all the wonderful nurses at Hospice for their care. A special thank you to Dennis and Zack for their help.
