Obituary

Phyllis Jean Blankenship, 74, of St. Albans, passed way Sunday, January 16, 2011, at Thomas Memorial Hospital.

She was a homemaker and attended the St. Albans United Pentacostal Church.

Surviving are her husband, Harley Blankenship of St. Albans; daughters, Ilene Blankenship, Jeanie Jordan, Bonnie Means and her husband, Bobby of St. Albans, Lucy Throckmorton and her husband, Bob of Woodbridge, Va; sons, Eddie and his wife, Vickie and Randal, Sr. and his wife, Yvonne of St. Albans; brother, Bobby Sargent and his wife, Frances of Teays Valley; grandchildren, Randal, Jr, Harley, Jr, Travis, Bobby and Jessica Blankenship of St. Albans, Dustin Allen of St. Albans, Lisa Jordan of South Charleston, Miranda Qayyum and her husband, Rizwan of Charleston, Brandon Stinson, Amber Karnes of Hometown and Andrew Burt of New York; and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are her loving companions, Marselene Lovejoy and Ellie Drake.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, January 20, at the St. Albans United Pentacostal Church, 216 Alameda Street, St. Albans, with the Rev. Stephen Neese officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

Her journey through life was often difficult, yet her arrival in heaven has brought eternal peace. Phyllis is finally home.
