Phyllis Virginia Meadows, 89, of Nitro departed this life on Sunday, December 31, 2017, at home just 15 days after losing her husband, Don. They would have celebrated their 70 ^th wedding anniversary here on earth on January 3, 2018, now they will be celebrating in heaven.

She was born on February 23, 1928, in South Charleston, daughter of the late Rev. Arnold and Lillian Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don Meadows; son, Gary Wayne Meadows; brother, Harold Williams; and sister, Dolores Honaker.

She is survived by her two daughters, Toni (Greg) Yost and Bobbie (Danny) Foster; grandchildren, Shannon Webb, Leslie Meadows, Jennifer Shively, Bryce Foster; and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Arnold Williams Jr. and Robert L. Williams.

To honor her life, a service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 5 at Cunningham Memorial Park in St. Albans, Upper Mausoleum Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Kanawha Charleston Humane Association.
