Phyllis "Jean" Perkins, 94, born on February 18, 1920 went home to be with the Lord on April 1, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Wava and Robert "Bob" Gunnoe; husband, Charles "Perk" Perkins; and brother, Robert Woodall.
Jean was survived by her children, Donna M. Tucker ,with whom she made her home, and Nancy Godbey of Charleston, Charles "Johnny" Perkins II (Marie) of Cypress Springs, Fla.; brother, Richard Woodall of Ft. Myers , Fla; grandchildren, Debbie Bias, Cindy Melton (Jeff), Steve Godbey (Cyndi), Mark Godbey (Devon), Mindy Walker (Larry), Charles "Chuck" Perkins III (Kelly), Donna Jean Pauley (Doug), and Jon Godbey; great-grandchildren, Krista Womack (JR), Lisa Henson (Jason), Katie Childers (Ryan), Heather Gunter, Chad Melton, Alicia Russell, Charles "Charlie" Perkins IV, Kaitlyn Knight, Amanda Godbey, Madison Walker, Andrew Walker, Jeffrey Godbey; and nine great-great grandchildren.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother who loved having a full house at all times. She especially looked forward to family dinners, gatherings, and holidays.
We would like to thank HospiceCare for allowing her to stay at home with her loving family.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 6at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Rev. Pete Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
Friends may call one hour prior to service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
