Rachel Leah Parsons, 43, of Dunbar, WV, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

She was born on October 27, 1982 to Kimberly Parsons and the late David Haynes.

Rachel attended Ripley High School, and was know as a loving and compassionate person, not only to her family and friends, but in her intense passion for helping animals.  She was a genuinely happy person whose smile could light up a room.

In addition to her father, Rachel was preceded in death by her grandparents, Grady and Normalee Haynes; grandfather, Jerry Parsons; and aunt, Patricia Parsons.

She is survived by her mother, Kimberly Parsons; her brother, Devin Parsons; her grandmother, Rosalie Parsons; her great aunt, Betty McGraw; her uncles, Denver Parsons, Gary Haynes (Ginger), Duke Haynes (Theresa), Richard Haynes (Teresa); her aunts, Cindy Thompson (Mark), Janet Haynes, and Georgie Breeden (Allen); along with many cousins she held close to her heart.

Thank you to all the EMS, and the wonderful staff at CAMC for everything they did to care for not only Rachel, but for our family.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Jeffrey Scott officiating.

Family will welcome visitors one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
