Rachel "Peggy" Vance Rogers, 79, of Dunbar, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 27, 2017.

She was born on December 4, 1938 to the late Riley Vance and Martha Curry Vance.

Peggy graduated from Dunbar High School in 1957. She married the love her life, James "Jimmy" Rogers on July 6, 1958. Peggy retired from the International Union of Painters Local 970 in Charleston. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Dunbar Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Dale Vance of St. Albans.

Peggy is survived by her loving husband of over 59 years, Jimmy Rogers of Dunbar; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Doug Robinson of Dunbar; granddaughter, Megan Diehl and her husband, Chris, of Dunbar; grandson, Doug Robinson II of Huntington and his girlfriend, Ashley Adkins, of Morehead, KY; twin great-granddaughters, Lena and Sophia Diehl, who were the lights of her life and "Gigi's Babies"; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Pat Vance of Hanover, PA; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Minister Donnie Chapman officiating. Entombment will be held in Cunningham Memorial Park at a later date.

Friends may visit 2 hours before the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
